Austria's Red-White-Red Card
The Red-White-Red card is a two-year residence and work permit that has become increasingly attractive to foreigners. In the first four months of 2024, Austria approved 3,200 applications for the Red-White-Red card, marking a 35% increase compared to 2023. Recent statistics indicate a rise in the number of skilled third-country nationals moving to Austria for work purposes.
Austria’s Labour Minister, Martin Kocher (ÖVP), predicts that the number of approved applications could reach 10,000 by the end of the year, with this trend expected to continue growing. The rising demand for skilled workers has been one of the most significant challenges for Austria's economy in recent years.
