Britain decides to prevent international students from bringing their families

According to recent decisions taken by the United Kingdom government, international students in Britain can no longer obtain visit visas for their families if they are in a postgraduate research programme.

These decisions also include students enrolled in a course sponsored by the British government.

Warning about banning family visas for international students in Britain

It is worth noting that experts have confirmed that this step taken by the United Kingdom government would greatly affect private universities that rely heavily on foreign student fees in Britain.

Stressing that these decisions will also greatly affect the reputation of the United Kingdom as an international destination for students wishing to study.

Restrictions on family visas for foreign students in the UK

For his part, James Cleverly, the British Home Secretary, indicated that with the entry into force of the new visa restrictions, the government will be able to control the unreasonable practices of foreign students bringing their families.

The British Home Secretary added that these restrictions will affect foreign students in Britain, with the exception of those enrolled in postgraduate research courses and recipients of government-funded scholarships.

Stressing that these decisions will contribute significantly to reducing immigration to the United States tenfold.

It is worth noting that these procedures related to visas in the United Kingdom were announced in May of last year 2023, by the previous government represented by Suella Braverman, as official reports at the time showed that net immigration amounted to 672 thousand people.

James Cleverly explained that the current British government is fulfilling its commitment to the people to reduce immigration to Britain, adding that his government is developing strict plans to quickly reduce the numbers and prevent travelers from tampering with the immigration system to the United Kingdom.
