The Polish Embassy in Abu Dhabi has announced the launch of the e-konsulat system for all foreign residents in the UAE seeking a Polish Schengen visa. Effective from November 8, 2024, applicants must now register through this system to apply and receive an appointment date.
The Embassy emphasized that this update aims to ensure that appointments are allocated chronologically by registration date, providing earlier registrants with quicker appointments.
Three-Stage Process for Visa Applications
The new e-konsulat system involves three stages, where applicants must carefully complete each required field. Key details include the host person or company’s name and contact information in the Schengen Area, or, if not applicable, the name, address, and contact of the hotel where the applicant will stay.
Applicants are advised that once submitted, no changes or corrections can be made to the information provided.
Appointment Assignment and Eligibility
The system will assign appointments twice a week, with email notifications sent to applicants based on their registration order. This new process applies only to foreign residents in the UAE who require a Schengen visa, as UAE passport holders are exempt from visa requirements for the Schengen Area.
