The list of global award recipients for the year is dominated by various European countries. Italy claims the top spot with 181,012 reviews, followed by Spain (125,611), France (124,361), Germany (86,910), and the United Kingdom (74,754). According to Think Europe Services, Poland, Croatia, and Portugal also rank among the top 10 most hospitable countries.

Four of the world's ten most welcoming cities are situated in the EU, showcasing the bloc's influence. Arraial d'Ajuda in Brazil received the title of the friendliest place globally, with Grindelwald in Switzerland, Daylesford in Australia, Ermoupoli in Greece, and Viana do Castelo in Portugal rounding out the top five.

These destinations have solidified their reputation as the most hospitable places in 2024, garnering praise from travelers for their friendliness and diverse amenities. Ermoupoli, Greece, earned the distinction of being the second most welcoming destination, celebrated for its neoclassical architecture and cultural experiences. Viana do Castelo in Portugal, known for its maritime history and scenic beauty, claimed the third spot, while Grindelwald, Switzerland, renowned for its alpine vistas and outdoor activities, secured fifth place on the list.
