82% of Indian travelers opt for EU destinations due to new Schengen visa regulations. Recent figures from Policybazar reveal a strong interest in visiting France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands among Indians. According to Manas Kapoor, Product Head at Policybazaar, there's been a notable increase in Indians buying travel insurance for Schengen visa applications. Kapoor also notes a trend of Indians purchasing policies exceeding 45 days, indicating plans for multiple trips to Schengen areas.

New regulations for Schengen visas have been introduced. Under these new rules, Indians holding Schengen visas can make multiple entries into Schengen areas for up to two years. However, this provision applies only to Indians who have obtained Schengen visas lawfully within the past three years. Those with multiple-entry Schengen visas can visit the Schengen Area multiple times within a year without the need for additional documentation each time. It's important to adhere to the 90/180-day rule, which dictates that individuals cannot stay in the Schengen area for more than three months within any six-month period.
