Nations that are inclined to grant you a Schengen Visa based on your nationality.

As indicated by Schengen Statistics, Slovakia, Greece, and Switzerland emerge as the top three countries with a higher likelihood of approving Schengen visa applications, given their notably low visa rejection rates.

In particular, Slovakia exhibited a minimal rejection rate for ten nationalities, Greece for nine, and Switzerland granted positive responses to visa applications from six nationalities.

Slovakia approved visas for individuals from Turkey, the UK, South Africa, the Philippines, Indonesia, Kosovo, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, and China. Meanwhile, Greek authorities predominantly issued visas to Egyptians and Americans. The following is a concise compilation of countries of origin for visa applicants in 2022, experiencing the lowest rejection rates during this timeframe.

Turkey

In 2022, Turkish citizens, who ranked as the primary applicants for EU visas, encountered minimal rejection rates in specific countries such as Italy (7.14%), Luxembourg (7.41%), and Slovakia (9.55%). To elaborate, out of the 87,648 visa applications submitted to Italian consulates, approximately 6,259 were declined. In Luxembourg, the rejection rate was even lower, with 102 out of 1,377 requests facing denial, and in Slovakia, 180 out of 1,884 visa applications were not approved.

Russia

Poland, Latvia, and the Netherlands exhibited the most favorable acceptance rates for Russian applicants, with a total of 132 applications facing rejection out of 7,653 applications in total. To break it down, this meant that Polish consulates denied only 1.13% of visa applications from Russians, while Latvia and Dutch authorities had rejection rates of 1.75% and 2.09%, respectively.

India

Among the 1,861 individuals applying for visas from India, Iceland rejected only 5.48% of them, resulting in 102 denied applications. However, it's worth noting that the relatively low rejection rate in Iceland may be attributed to the smaller number of applicants. This is in contrast to Germany, a prominent destination for Indian applicants, where out of 76,352 visa applicants, 8,615 faced rejection by German authorities in 2022, equating to a rejection rate of 11.2%. Similarly, Switzerland, receiving a total of 106,025 visa applications from Indians, had a rejection rate of only 13.1%, totaling 13,984 denied requests.

Morocco

Morocco experienced the lowest rejection rate from Poland, with 9.09% of applications or 42 requests in total being declined. Additionally, Greek authorities maintained a relatively low visa rejection rate for Moroccans, with 22.1% of the total 782 applications receiving a negative response.

Algeria

In comparison to previous nationalities, Algerians have a higher rate of visa applications, leading to an increased rejection rate. In 2022, Polish authorities exhibited a greater tendency to grant visas to Algerians, with a rejection rate of 35%, resulting in 797 applicants being denied. Contrarily, Spanish consulates had a significantly lower denial rate for visa applications compared to other consulates. The rejection rate for 102,656 applications stood at approximately 38.9%, equating to 39,944 rejected applicants. Finland emerged as the third country with the fewest denials for applications from Algeria, rejecting 39.2%, or 205 out of 522 applications.
