Qatar Airways was also recently acknowledged for having the 'World’s Best Airline Website' by the World Travel Tech Awards.

Qatar Airways has been named the world’s top airline at the 2024 World Airline Awards hosted by Skytrax.

This marks the eighth time the airline has received this accolade in the awards' 25-year history, first winning in 2011.

“This is a moment of great pride for Qatar Airways, and I am honored to share this award with my dedicated colleagues,” said Qatar Airways CEO Badr Al Meer. “It underscores our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional service and innovation. We look forward to achieving more successes in the future.”

Qatar Airways surpassed more than 350 airlines to claim the top spot, displacing last year’s winner, Singapore Airlines, which placed second this year.

Emirates secured third place, followed by ANA (All Nippon Airways) in fourth and Cathay Pacific in fifth.

Qatar Airways also received awards for the world’s best business class, best business class lounge, and best airline in the Middle East.

The Skytrax survey collected feedback from airline passengers between September 2023 and May 2024, with participants from over 100 nationalities.

In addition, Qatar Airways has partnered with the United Nations to enhance global humanitarian efforts.

Qatar Airways has achieved notable milestones in environmental stewardship and industry standards. It became the first Middle Eastern airline to achieve certification at the highest level of IATA’s Environmental Assessment (IEnvA) program, aligned with ISO 14001 environmental management principles.

Furthermore, as an inaugural signatory to the Buckingham Palace Declaration in March 2016, Qatar Airways has received global recognition for its efforts to combat illegal wildlife trafficking in aviation.

Operating from its hub at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar Airways serves nearly 170 destinations worldwide. The airport has consistently been recognized for excellence, winning Skytrax’s World’s Best Airport title in 2021, 2022, and 2024.

Additionally, it has been awarded Best Airport in the Middle East for ten consecutive years and was acknowledged for World’s Best Airport Shopping for the second consecutive year in 2024.
