'Central Government in Contact with UP Administration': PM Modi Vows Full Support for Hathras Stampede Victims

Following a tragic stampede in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, where over 116 individuals lost their lives, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended condolences to the victims' families and assured them of all possible assistance. PM Modi announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF for each deceased and Rs. 50,000 for those injured in the stampede.
Addressing Parliament, Modi stated, "Even as I speak, reports are coming in of many lives lost in the stampede in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. My heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this incident, and I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured. The administration, under the state government's supervision, is actively engaged in relief and rescue operations. Senior officials from the Central government are in constant communication with the Uttar Pradesh government. I assure this House that every possible assistance will be provided to the victims."
Simultaneously, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed providing Rs. 2 lakh financial aid to the families of each deceased and Rs. 50,000 to the injured.
The stampede occurred during a satsang addressed by a religious preacher and his wife in Ratibhanpur village, Sikandra Rau tehsil, Hathras district, claiming at least 116 lives, primarily women.
CM Adityanath expressed condolences and directed the district administration to ensure proper treatment for the injured. He wrote on social media, "Hon’ble Minister in Uttar Pradesh Government, Shri Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary Ji, Shri Sandeep Singh Ji have left for the incident site and have directed the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police of the state to reach the incident site. A team has been formed under the leadership of ADG, Agra and Commissioner, Aligarh, and instructions have also been given to investigate the causes of the accident. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to give a place to the departed souls in his feet and provide speedy recovery to the injured."
President of India, Droupadi Murmu, also expressed profound condolences to the families affected by the tragedy. "The news of the tragic incident resulting in the loss of many devotees, including women and children, in Hathras district, Uttar Pradesh, is deeply saddening. My heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones, and I pray for the swift recovery of those injured," she shared on social media.
