Dubai initiated its virtual working program in October 2020 and has swiftly risen to the forefront of the list of destinations. Katherine Wang, originally from China, had previously lived in Bali, Lisbon, and Montenegro before making Dubai her home as a digital nomad for three years.

Digital nomads, typically professionals who travel to various locations, often work from co-working spaces, cafes, or public libraries, enjoying the freedom to work from any location they choose.

Currently, over 50 countries worldwide offer digital nomad visas, with Dubai being one of the top destinations due to its one-year virtual working program, allowing individuals to live and work in the emirate.

Wang, in her 30s, shared her experience with Khaleej Times, stating, "The unique thing about Dubai is that it's full of life. Here, you get to meet people from literally everywhere in the world, and you experience different cultures." She added, "Dubai keeps bringing surprises to its people and residents with new developments and projects."
