Since July 2, 2024, all Indian students intending to study in Poland are required to register their national study visa applications through the e-consult system, as announced by the Embassy of Poland in India.

The Embassy of Poland in New Delhi and the Consulate General in Mumbai have implemented a new system for registering national study visa applications. Applicants from specified states in India and neighboring countries can submit their visa applications to the Embassy of Poland in New Delhi.

In 2023, Poland welcomed over 10,000 international students, with around 3,000 of them originating from India. Indian students are attracted to Poland for its quality education system, cultural diversity, and affordable living costs.

Despite its popularity, Poland rejects about 18 percent of visa applications from Indian students. Visas issued include short-term C-type visas for up to 90 days, suitable for short courses or exchange programs, and long-term D-type visas, renewable annually, primarily for degree-seeking students.

Polish universities offer competitive tuition fees, typically 30-50 percent lower than other EU countries and significantly cheaper than the US and UK, making Poland an attractive option for Indian students. Annual tuition fees range from INR 2 lakh to INR 7 lakh, with living expenses averaging around INR 6 lakh per year.
