Qatar Extends Validity Period for Multiple-Entry Work Visas

The Qatari government has extended the validity of the multiple-entry work visa (MEWV) for citizens of Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka.

Key Points:

1. The revised regulation is effective immediately, increasing the MEWV validity period to a maximum of 12 months.
2. This change raises the previous maximum duration from 180 days.
3. Nationals from these countries must now adhere to updated application procedures, which include mandatory medical and biometric processes at Qatar Visa Centers in their respective home countries.

Additional Information: Qatar has recently introduced new services at its visa centers. Officials from the Visa Support Services department have confirmed that medical testing services for MEWVs are now available to comply with the new requirements. Furthermore, changes have also been implemented for sponsoring companies; organizations outside the Qatar Financial Centre Freezone must provide employment contracts that include salary details as part of the MEWV application process.
