According to SchengenVisaInfo, Thailand ranked fifth in approval rates for Switzerland visas, following Australia, New Zealand, Chile, and Taiwan. However, only 20.32% of visas granted were for multiple entries, indicating most Thais were allowed a single entry to the Schengen Area.

Highest Schengen Visa Applications Filed by Thai Nationals in 2023

Switzerland processed the most visa requests from Thai nationals last year, receiving 43,441 applications out of a total 270,504 submitted. France followed with 42,715 requests, and Germany received 40,877 applications. Italy handled 30,757 visa requests, bringing the total for these four countries to 157,790, accounting for 58.3% of all Schengen visa applications filed by Thai nationals.
