Advantages of the Temporary Graduate Visa

Extended Stay: Holders of the Temporary Graduate visa have the opportunity to remain in Australia post-study to pursue various opportunities and acquire practical work experience.

Family Inclusion: Applicants for the Temporary Graduate visa have the option to include their family members, including spouses and children, in their visa application, provided they meet the stipulated character and health criteria.

Work Opportunities: Temporary Graduate visa holders are granted unrestricted work rights across all industries. This enables them to gain invaluable work experience in their respective fields within Australia.

Graduate Work Pathway

The forthcoming adjustments to Australia's Temporary Graduate visa program will notably alter the Graduate Work pathway, which will henceforth be referred to as the Post-Vocational Education Workstream.

The impending modifications to the Temporary Graduate visa program will also introduce alterations to the Graduate Work pathway, now designated as the Post-Vocational Education Workstream.

Changes in the Post-Vocational Education Workstream

- The upper age limit for applicants in the Post-Vocational Education Workstream has been reduced to 35 years, except for individuals holding Hong Kong or British National Overseas passports, who remain eligible until the age of 50.

- Applicants who do not meet the age criteria for the Post-Vocational Education Workstream are encouraged to explore alternative visa options.

- Eligible applicants must possess an associate degree, diploma, or trade qualification relevant to their nominated occupation listed on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL).

- Successful applicants can reside in Australia for a duration of up to 18 months. Hong Kong or British National Overseas passport holders have the option to extend their stay for an additional 5 years.
